Connecting to Change: InWoods Expo 2007

The Arkansas Timber Producers Association and the Forest Resources Association are jointly hosting the acclaimed InWoodsExpo, with the 2007 event slated for April 26th-28th at a forested site owned and sustainably managed by Weyerheauser Company near Hot Springs, Arkansas. With more than 80 exhibitors onhand representing the latest in equipment and services, the three day event pass offers full access to a panorama of today’s forestry.

From family forestry to high-volume logging, from municipal land management to the biofuels supply chain, from streamside management to satellite-based forest inventory assessment, InWoodsExpo is an exciting opportunity to connect to change in tomorrow’s harvesting and forest management systems – equipment and systems at work in a working forest! Attendees will learn how state-of-the-art processors are meeting today’s and tomorrow’s wood supply chain challenges while ensuring sustainability of our forests well into the future.

According to ATPA Executive Director Larry Boccarossa, InWoodsExpo is expected to draw participants from across the western and deep south region, “although we had visitors to our inaugural show in 2004 come from as far as Sweden,” he notes of the InWoodsExpo2004 total attendance of more than 3,500. “If the weather cooperates,” he adds when reminded of the rainy weather three years ago, “we anticipate hitting our goal of 5,000 through the gates over the course of the three days.”

There are a number of headline events at the 2007 InWoodsExpo sure to maintain the attention of the entire family -- as if watching the latest large equipment demonstrations isn’t enough excitement! Events include Stihl’s Ironjack exhibition, Husqvarna’s Game of Logging training, the Prentice Loader Championship and headliner Chuck Leavell of Rolling Stones fame, a forest landowner and activist. So don’t miss this great event!
